The Carnegie UK Trust has appointed Geoff Mulgan to chair the Carnegie Inquiry on the Future of Civil Society – the first inquiry into this area undertaken by the Trust since the publication of the Wolfenden Report a generation ago.

The four UK-based foundations endowed by the father of modern philanthropy, Andrew Carnegie, are planning to co-locate to bespoke new headquarters at Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline. They have been holding talks with Fife Council about the possibility of co-locating to the Park the childhood paradise which the Scots-American steel king gifted to the people of his native city in 1903.
