Raji leads on the Democracy strand of the Democracy and Civil Society Programme. She joined the Carnegie UK Trust in September 2003 as Director of the Carnegie UK Trust’s programme focusing on young people’s involvement in schools and democracy. Before joining the Trust, Raji worked as the Director of the Hansard Society’s Citizenship Education Programme, prior to which she was a secondary school teacher in London. Raji is also a Trustee of the Citizenship Foundation and a Community Governor of a special school in Wandsworth.
